Tables of Hope
Tables of Hope is a catalytic project of Community Action Partnership that strives to build working relationships within our community to end hunger and poverty.
The mission of Tables of Hope is to enhance food security by mobilizing our abundant community resources to address poverty of money, relationships, and meaning. Our vision strives to include farming and food production that is environmentally friendly, socially just and economically beneficial.
One particular method for ending poverty is to confront food waste in a way that will constructively meet the diverse needs of an intended community. As a result, Tables of Hope strives to partner with food service providers and master gardeners to redistribute excess unused food to community dining sites where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can gather for both fellowship and food. A creative redistribution of excess food resources can help communities address hunger and lack of community engagement.
