Lewiston HOME Apartments
Community Action Partnership owns and manages twenty HOME Apartments in Lewiston that are financed by the Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) though the US Department of Housing and Urban Development's HOME program. These three complexes offer two and three bedroom units and are rent controlled but not rent subsidized. All units have central heat and air conditioning.
The lease period for all units is for one year. CAP pays for the water, sewer, and garbage bills. Tenants are responsible for their electricity and natural gas bills. They currently rent for either $550 or $625 per month, depending on the number of bedrooms.
Certain restrictions apply to tenant eligibility and tenancy. The eligibility factors are not necessarily the same as for other IHFA programs and different apartments may have different requirements. To effectively utilize space, occupancy guidelines generally require at least two people in two bedroom units and three persons in three bedroom units. The maximum occupancy is two people per bedroom.
All eligible households must have incomes below 60% of the Nez Perce County Median Income for their family size. A household must also make a minimum gross monthly income of at least 2½ times the rent amount or have a Section 8 Housing Voucher to be eligible for these units. Additional information regarding eligibility is available upon request. Median income tables change annually.
