Weatherization : Emergency Repair Services
To be eligible for services, low-income households must reside within the following counties:
- Nez Perce
Community Action Partnership’s Weatherization Department offers assistance to help qualifying low-income households within our service area with emergency repairs when funding is available. Possible measures include the following:
- Heating System Repairs or Replacement
- Water Heater Repairs or Replacement
- Minor Electrical Repairs
- Minor Plumbing Repairs
- Air Conditioner Repairs or Replacement (with a Documentable Necessity)
CAP may be able to address these emergency situations within qualifying homes as part of the Weatherization Assistance Program provided the home is eligible to be weatherized and there are also cost-effective weatherization measures to perform. Alternatively, we may be able to address heating emergencies with other available services.
LPW Crisis Program
In our Idaho service area, our department also has access to LPW Crisis funding that may be utilized to assist home owners separate from the Weatherization Assistance Program when available. This funding enables CAP to assist households even if the home has already been weatherized, if we did not find any cost-effective measures to perform, or if the issue requires a resolution more quickly than we can offer as part of the weatherization process.
To be eligible for LPW Crisis, households must reside in an eligible dwelling within our Idaho service area, meet the income guidelines for the Weatherization Assistance Program, and may not have accessed LPW Crisis in the past twelve months (with exceptions possible for heating emergencies).
