Ombudsman for the Elderly

Community Action Partnership is seeking a compassionate individual for the purpose of promoting, advocating, and ensuring the adequacy of care received, and the quality of life experienced by residents of long-term care facilities.  The Ombudsman will serve as an advocate for older persons to resolve problems and document and mediate complaints.  The position requires an ability to work independently; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is required, and a social work license is preferred.  A minimum of two years employment experience in social work, nursing, public health, geriatrics, administration, community organization or other related job experience.

Full-time hourly, non-exempt position.  Pay begins at $19 per hour.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, paid annual and sick leave, 13 paid holidays, IRA match, Flexible Spending Account option.

Weatherization Retrofit Installer Technician

If you want to make a positive and impactful difference in the lives of community members, this job may be for you!  The Retrofit Installer Technician is responsible for the installation of weatherization materials in eligible homes throughout CAP’s service area. Involves extensive work in crawlspaces and attics in a variety of weather conditions.  Requires:  basic carpentry and home repair skills, valid driver’s license with an insurable record, acceptable background check, ability to work and stay at out-of-town locations and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
